NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer – I’m a reluctant convert from its popular competitor

It took me many years to try NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer – the #1 selling prestige concealer in the U.S., according to the NPD Group, Inc./U.S. Prestige Beauty Total Department/Specialty. Why should I consider changing concealer when I was happy with MAKE UP FOR EVER’s Full Cover Concealer, another popular and high-review product?

Honestly, MAKE UP FOR EVER’s Full Cover Concealer was comparably good, but what made me reluctantly change over to NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer is that it has a wand applicator and is cleaner to apply. I used my fingers to apply MAKE UP FOR EVER’s concealer, which comes in a tube containing waterproof cream … yeah, try getting that off your fingers ever morning before work.

I ended up a convert, but it was not a radical experience.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer blends into your skin and has good coverage (medium), even with just a dab. With 30 shades (compared to MAKE UP FOR EVER’s 10 shades) to choose from, I was able to find the perfect match to my skintone with the help of a beauty advisor. I use concealer to cover my dark circles and hyperpigmentation, and have been struck by how little I need to use to cover my problem spots.

The liquid formula lasts up to 16 hours and is natural feeling, crease-resistant, sweat-resistant, and has a radiant finish (so it doesn’t look flat and dull). Unlike other concealers, NARS says its mineral-tone balancing powder actually corrects and treats, not just masks imperfections. It has natural botanical ingredients (magnolia bark extract, grape seed extract, and vitamin E.) that help to hydrate, firm and reduce redness in the skin.

Some concealers feel heavy and you’re conscious you’re wearing makeup, but not with this one. It’s easily blendable and looks and feels natural. It’s a trustworthy friend in your makeup bag and will stay on all day without need for a touch up.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer has won the Allure Readers’ Choice award in 2016, 2017, 2018.
