This iconic medium coverage foundation deserves all the accolades for its weightless feel yet mind-boggling ability to remain undetectable to 4K cameras. How do they do it where you forget you’re even wearing makeup, yet when you’re taking a high-resolution photo with friends, your skin is flawless!
Usually, when a foundation promises to feel lightweight and natural, you’ll have to compromise coverage; it feels like nothing is there because there is barely anything there and it’s a little better than tinted moisturizer! But ever since I started using MAKE UP FOR EVER’s Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation years ago, I have not stepped out of my house without it on. Heck, sometimes I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and vainly compliment myself on my good skin, forgetting that this flawlessness is the work of MAKE UP FOR EVER’s skin-like finish that lasts up to 24 hours.
The natural look is helped by the fact that this foundation comes in 50 shades (at the time of this writing). It comes in so many shades that I need professional help to figure out which one is right for me (and it changes from summer, when I’m tanner, and in winter, where I’m lighter).
MAKE UP FOREVER credits hyaluronic acid as being responsible for adapting and adjusting to various complexions, and silica powders as helping to blur flaws. Thanks for the scientific information, but all I know is practically this works and does what it claims.
It might sound like I’m gushing too much, so if I have to point out a flaw (or more like a warning), then I’ll say to be careful not to get any of this Ultra HD foundation on your clothes. I once was wearing a brand-new navy suit for a headshot and accidentally got some makeup on it. No amount of soap and water was going to rinse this off quickly, so I had to change clothes. This is not so much a flaw but just a warning to be careful not to get any of the makeup on your clothes because it will not come off easily.
This foundation (as with all products by MAKE UP FOR EVER) is marketed as being used by professional makeup artists. The original Ultra HD formula was developed back in 2008 when High Definition cameras and screens became popular. It has won countless industry awards, is a bestseller, and has expanded the number of shades it’s available in. This is a pretty safe bet you’ll be satisfied with this product.
